The Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary General for Burundi (OSESG-B) closed on 31 May 2021, transferring its responsibilities to the UN Country Team in Burundi, led by the Resident Coordinator.
Below is a joint communiqué issued at the end of the Third African Union-United Nations Annual Conference convened by UN Secretary-General António Guterres and AU Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat on 6 May 2019 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
