Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">Coffee Break today featured the following guests:<br /><strong>David Dahn</strong>-Assistant Defense Minister for Public Affairs/Ministry of National Defense announces that some members of Liberian troops were injured in an attack on the UN peace keeping mission in Mali; <strong>Sam Collins</strong>-LNP Spokesperson provides updates on the extent of the LNP&rsquo;s violence free elections campaign; <strong>Alex Devine</strong>-Head of Devine Consultancy talks about the conclusion of phase one of the 2017 &ldquo;Liberia National High School Debate Competition&rdquo; launched since March and involving 64 high schools and commencement of phase two; and<strong> Isaac Redd</strong>-Communications Director/House of Representatives speaks on the status of the Affirmative Action Bill at the lower house.</p>
