Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;">The program today featured civil society leaders including William R. Tolbert III, Peace Ambassador;<br>Edward Mulbah, head of Peace Building Office and Aaron Weah, head of Search for Common Ground.<br>The guests discussed the upcoming national reconciliation conference to launch a five-year reconciliation project in 8 counties.</p>
